IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: COVID-19 PANDEMIC & WATER/SEWER BILLS

PERKASIE REGIONAL AUTHORITY WAIVES LATE FEES AND SUSPENDS SHUTOFFS ON WATER/SEWER ACCOUNTS

 

As our community continues to experience the effects of coronavirus, we want to assure our customers that we do not anticipate a disruption of water or sewer service or compromised water quality.  Please remember that Perkasie Regional Authority’s staff will be operating throughout this uncertain time with office staff taking calls and payments over the phone and the operations staff continuing to operate the water and sewer system with limited public contact.

 

Additionally, we would like to emphasize the safety of our water supply in connection with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), as both the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization have confirmed it has not been detected in drinking-water supplies. Further, they acknowledged that the disinfection methods that we utilize are effective in removing bacteria and viruses, including the coronavirus from drinking water.

 

Effective immediately, Perkasie Regional Authority is suspending service disconnections and waiving future late payment charges on ALL water/sewer accounts until further notice.  

 

In addition, we would like to remind all customers that Perkasie Regional Authority DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES to pay your bill online.  In the event you are requested to pay any additional amount than what is shown on your bill, you may be on a “phishing” website and not Perkasie Regional Authority’s official website at www.perkasieauthority.org.  If you have any concerns or need help logging into your account, please contact the office at 215-257-3654.
