Why Celebrate Presidents Day?

Presidents Day, originally established in honor of George Washington’s birthday, has evolved into a celebration of all U.S. presidents. Did you know that some of our greatest leaders have had a direct impact on water infrastructure?

Thomas Jefferson championed the first municipal waterworks in the U.S.
Theodore Roosevelt helped create the U.S. Public Health Service, improving water sanitation.
Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Clean Water Restoration Act, helping to safeguard our water quality.

At Perkasie Regional Authority, we take inspiration from these historical advancements as we continue to invest in maintaining and improving the essential services that keep our community running.

We appreciate your understanding and hope you have a wonderful Presidents Day!
