Perkasie Regional Authority – Holiday Office Closure Notice
November 26, 2025
Please be advised that the Perkasie Regional Authority office is now closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Regular business operations will resume on Monday, December 1st at 8:00 AM.
As a reminder, Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times of the year for water and wastewater utilities nationwide. Increased household cooking, food preparation, and dishwashing can place added demand on water systems. Likewise, improper disposal of fats, oils, and grease—including turkey drippings and cooking oils—can contribute to sewer blockages both in home plumbing and within the public sewer system.
To help protect your home and our community’s infrastructure:
- Never pour fats, oils, or grease down the drain. Allow them to cool and dispose of them in the trash.
- Avoid putting fibrous foods such as celery, onion peels, or potato skins into the garbage disposal.
- Run water for a few seconds between sink uses to maintain proper flow.
As always, if you experience a PRA-related emergency during the holiday period, please call the office and leave a message on the emergency voicemail. A member of our staff will return your call as promptly as possible.
The Authority extends its appreciation to our customers and wishes the entire community a safe and meaningful Thanksgiving holiday.
